single-lever mixers are now generalizing for their convenience and for the remarkable appearance, the ceramic disc cartridge also has superior durability and grip than normal rubber seals. 
In modern single-lever mixers there is only one lever that rotated from right to left, adjust the temperature. Moving the lever in the vertical direction is acting instead on the scope. The single lever ceramic disc is composed of a few parts and is easy to repair, because the hardest part (cartridge) are replaced.
Removed the lever (locked by a screw or an Allen wrench), unscrew the lock nut and reach the heart of the device, the cartridge, which is extracted by removing the spring holding it with a fork a pair of pliers.
